The Trustees of Instow Village Hall reported in August that we are planning a Go Green project to future proof the hall for coming generations’ use. Our aim, to make the hall more comfortable for year-round, multi-purpose use by the community thereby fostering cohesion, health and wellbeing, whilst yielding environmental benefits.
The Improvements will help to increase energy efficiency through improved insulation and the installation of solar panels and storage batteries.

In addition to using funds held in the ‘Save Our Hall Fund’, which has been raised through hall events, the Benefactors Scheme and Gift Aid, the hall needs further funding to realise the project. We are pleased to advise that our hardworking Grants Team have recently secured grants from the Platinum Jubilee Village Halls Fund and Instow Parish Council. We are very grateful to both.
The team also has applications in with other grants bodies to make up the funding shortfall, which currently stands at £24,000. If that gap can be filled, the work is planned for January 2026 and we can unveil our next generation hall to you all in February 2026. We very much look forward to doing so.
If you can be any help in securing the necessary funds, please contact trustees@instowvillagehall.co.uk.

Thank you to our supporters…

Update – March 2026
Instow Village Hall ‘ Green Gala’ re-opening event 13th March 2026.
To celebrate the completion of the two month ‘Go Green’ project, the trustees and volunteers hosted a fabulous Green Gala event.
A welcome black velvet cocktail followed by a delicious Irish themed three course meal was finished off with lively dancing to a Celtic themed band.
Throughout the evening there was a raffle and auction with some truly amazing lot and due to the generosity of donations and bidders, the evening raised over £6k to add to our £120k fundraising target. Please visit our website www.instowvillagehall.co.uk to read more about the monies raised so far and grants gratefully received.
Instow Village Hall now has solar panels to generate all its electrical needs plus the ability to sell surplus energy back to the grid. Along with solar velux roof lights, new insulation and heating it has been fully redecorated in heritage green.
Heartfelt thanks go to the local community for your continued support for this valued Instow asset. Please follow us on Instagram and facebook and our website for future exciting events.
